Phil Vilardi - N5VAF
Phil served in the Air Force from 27 Nov 83 to 27 Nov 89 in the 2853 Civil Engineering Squadron at Robins AFB and the 4392 CES at Vandenberg AFB. While in the Air Force, he was also a member of the Prime BEEF unit. (The Prime Base Engineer Emergency Force is a program that provides for the immediate mobilization of civil engineers to areas needing CE services.) Phil left active duty in November of 1987 with the rank of Sergeant (E-4).
He earned his Technician's license in December of 2017, upgraded to General in January of 2018 and passed the Extra Exam in February of 2019.
Following his stint with the Air Force, Phil went to work for the City of Port Arthur in Texas as the Chief Building Official. He resides in Lumberton, Texas with his beautiful wife, Kristen, and their many, many dogs (they operate a sanctuary for senior and special needs dogs.)
Phil's other interests are Harley Davidson motorcycles, fishing, building and shooting long range rifles and hunting.
